The Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association (NLSA) is pleased to announce the Players of the Month for May.
This monthly recognition celebrates athletes who have demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and sportsmanship. Each selected player has made a significant impact on their team’s performance through consistent effort, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.

BU12 Championship
Blake Dunne, Mount Pearl Soccer Association
Blake has been named the Boys Under 12 Player of the Month for May. With six goals in three games for MPSA, Blake currently leads the league in scoring. His strong work ethic and consistent effort every shift make him a standout on the field. A skilled player with excellent positioning and game awareness, Blake’s impact in the attacking third has been a key factor in his team’s success.
GU12 Championship
Katie Alexander, Portugal Cove-St. Philip's Soccer Association
Katie has been named the Girls Under 12 Championship League Player of the Month. Katie consistently gives 100% in both practices and games, showing unwavering dedication to her team and the sport. She displays great aggression, determination, and confidence on the ball, making her a constant challenge for opponents. With excellent movement on and off the ball and strong technical ability, Katie capped off her standout performances by getting on the scoresheet, highlighting her all-around impact on the field.
BU13 Championship
Nathan Roul, Burin Peninsula Soccer Association
Nathan has been named the Boys Under 13 Championship League Player of the Month after an incredible start to the season, scoring 15 goals in his first three games. Leading the league in goals, Nathan has proven to be a dominant striker with a rare combination of strength, skill, and finishing ability. His accuracy, game awareness, and leadership on the field make him a constant threat and a player his teammates look to. With a strong work ethic and deep understanding of the game, Nathan is a natural striker and a standout in the league.
GU13 Championship
Carly Greene, St. John’s Soccer Club
Carly has been named the Girls Under 13 Championship League Player of the Month. In just two games, she has scored three goals and made a significant impact across the field. Known for her speed, ball control, and strong work ethic, Carly is an exceptionally versatile player. While primarily playing in central midfield, she has also excelled as a striker and stepped in at center back when needed, proving to be a key asset in all areas of the game.
BU13 Premier
Benjamin Lewis, CBS Soccer Association
Benjamin has been named the Boys Under 13 Premier League Player of the Month. He has been a key contributor to his team’s early success, leading the way with six goals in four games. A constant threat in advanced areas, Benjamin’s creativity, vision, and ability to both score and set up chances make him a standout player. His unmatched work rate and respectful, competitive attitude reflect the way the game should be played.
GU13 Premier
Bella Norman, Mount Pearl Soccer Association
Bella has been named the Girls Under 13 Premier League Player of the Month. Representing MPSA, Bella leads the league in scoring with five goals in just three games. An explosive and speedy attacker, she showcases fast footwork, strong shooting ability with both feet, and excellent vision. Bella consistently creates chances for her teammates with clever passes and crosses, and her versatility, athleticism, and finishing ability make her a standout player in multiple positions.
BU15 Championship
Caleb Murphy, Feildians Athletic Association
Caleb has been named the Boys Under 15 Championship League Player of the Month for May. In two standout performances, Caleb was a constant presence on the field, excelling at left back and stepping in at center back when needed. He supported the attack, shut down counterattacks, took on free-kick duties, and consistently encouraged his teammates. His energy and impact were instrumental in his team’s strong results this month.
GU15 Championship
Ellyana Stafford, CBS Soccer Association
Ellyana has been named the Girls Under 15 Championship League Player of the Month. A standout fullback, Ellyana defends the flanks with strength, grit, and precision. Her quick footwork, sharp turns, and accurate passes up the line consistently help advance her team’s play. Her strategic throw-ins have led to numerous regained possessions, and her ability to scan the field and anticipate opponents’ movements allows her to apply effective pressure. Ellyana is known for her consistency, dedication, and passion, always giving 100% from start to finish.
BU15 Premier
Luca Dupasquier, Paradise Soccer Club
Luca has been named the Boys Under 15 Premier League Player of the Month for May. In PSC’s first three games (two wins and a tie) Luca contributed three goals and multiple assists. He was a dominant presence in central midfield, showcasing excellent ball control, vision, and passing throughout each match.

Sadie Abbott, St. John’s Soccer Club
Sadie has been named the Girls Under 15 Premier League Player of the Month for May after a strong start to the season. She scored five goals in SJSC’s first three matches and delivered consistently impressive performances. Her tireless work ethic and skill have made her a standout presence on the field.
BU17 Premier
Ntsoa Ratsimandresy, Feildians Athletic Association
Ntsoa has been named the Boys Under 17 Premier League Player of the Month for May. In three standout performances, Ntsoa played a crucial role in central midfield, consistently doing the hard, often unnoticed work. His discipline, positioning, and relentless effort provided balance and stability to his team, making him an essential contributor to their success. His selfless play and commitment to the team’s overall performance truly sets him apart.
GU17 Premier
Mylee Tapper, Paradise Soccer Club
Mylee has been named the Girls Under 17 Premier League Player of the Month after an outstanding start to the season. She has scored or assisted every goal for her team and currently leads the league in goals. Her exceptional 1v1 ability and overall effectiveness have made her a constant threat and a key contributor in every match.
Challenge Cup
Felly Elonda, S’Pairs Optical CBS Strikers
A leader both on and off the field, Felly has been a dominant force throughout May, scoring four goals in four games, including a highlight-reel bicycle kick against St. Lawrence. His relentless effort and commitment have made a significant impact every time he steps onto the pitch, setting the tone for his team. Felly’s presence has inspired those around him, contributing to his team’s undefeated run so far and solidifying his role as a key player in the Challenge Cup this season.
Jubilee Trophy
Claire Kean, Holy Cross Nutra Holdings
In the four games Holy Cross Nutra Holdings has played in May, Claire has made an immediate and impressive impact. Returning this season from ACL reconstruction surgery, she has led the Holy Cross attack with three goals and three assists, showcasing her determination and resilience. Claire’s work ethic is unmatched, and she continues to excel in all areas of the game, delivering quality on set pieces, contributing defensively, and consistently driving her team forward.
